XLVI_ IRC Gateway Functions

Introducción

With IRCG you can rapidly stream XML data to thousands of concurrently connected users_ This can be used to build powerful, extensible interactive platforms such as online games and webchats_ IRCG also features support for a non_streaming mode where a helper application reformats incoming data and supplies static file snippets in special formats such as cHTML (i_mode) or WML (WAP)_ These static files are then delivered by the high_performance web server_

Up to v3, IRCG runs under these platforms:

Instalación

Detailed installation instructions can be found here_ We urge you to use the provided installation script_

It is not recommended, but you can try enable IRCG support yourself_ Provide the path to the ircg_config script, __with_ircg_config=path/to/irc_config and in addition add __with_ircg to your configure line_
